Lady lamb the beekeeper - Billions of eyes

Lady Lamb the Beekeeper - possibly the voice of my generation - is at it again.

Billions of eyes doesn't present a move in a new direction or anything (I mean, who doesn't love nice guitar based alt indie), but it is some much awaited new material.

If like me, you spend a lot of time failing at life, particularly catching public transport links, this song is about to become your anthem.

Watch and read the lyric video, it's brilliant.

Emily Yacina - Pull through

https://www.facebook.com/emilyyacinaEmily Yacina is a New York singer songwriter who owns "charming" with her feminine vulnerability and inherent soft naivety.

Her latest EP, Pull through, features bruise, a fusion of fairy-tale wonder and early 2000s indie.

I especially love coming for you, its just strong signwriting and musical arrangement, and the strongest footprint on the EP.

Unlike work from Laura Marling and Torres, these tracks never come to a head, they are just pockets of melancholia and thoughtfulness.

All we are - Keep me alive (Warpaint POJI remix)

I'm usually a bit of a purist, choosing to avoid remixes. But I love both of these outfits, and this remix is a perfect fusion of both of their aesthetics.

All we are's clean and tidy Keep me alive is rendered sinister, smokey and muddled by Warpaint. I love it!

Required listening for anyone who has feelings about both Warpaint and All we are.

TĀLĀ

TĀLĀ is a rising producer / artist from London via the Middle East.

All of her tracks add refreshing eastern twang that is always fresh and never stayed. She's already been compared to M.I.A. and Grimes, and why not? When there's only a handful of celebrated female producers, they're bound to be compared.

She's recently collaborated with How to dress well, and as amazing as that is, I really love some of her earlier solo work - On my own in Hua Hin is a standout track.

LA priest - Oino

If like me, you loved Late of the pier way back in the youthful days of 2008, the latest release to come from LOTP alum, Oino, will be sure to tick all the right boxes, although not all the same ones.

With the passage of time, my taste has sure evolved, as has LOTP's frontman Sam Eastgate re-incarnated as LA priest.

Replacing the unfettered excitement of LOTP's music is LA Priests maturity, funk and optimism. This is the kind of music a funky Mighty Boosh desert scene could easily be soundtracked to.

Florence + the machine - What kind of man

Florence is back.

I hate to say it, but I didn't expect this, her first single from her brilliantly named third album How big, how blue, how beautiful, to be quite this good.

Here Florence turns her back on all-out pop to return to her gospel roots with this epic track that is at once jubilant and angry.

Long standing Florence fans will be more than satisfied by this track; as one, I Love, love, LOVE it.

PS - the video deserves an Oscar

Emile Haynie - Come find me featuring Lykke Li & Romy Madley Croft

Award winning producer Emile Haynie has been drip-feeding us singles from his (no doubt) brilliant debut, We fall

The latest of which is the beautiful Come find me, featuring Lykke Li (of Lykke Li) and Romy Madley Croft (of The xx).

You can hear Emile's experience with Lana Del Ray (another collaborator on the album) in the smokey moodiness of this track, nicely accented by Romy's iconic guitar chords.

It's nice to have a producer album to get (very, very) excited about in the indie realm.

AS//IS - For you

I have lots of feelings about Paris suit yourself. So naturally, when PSY guitarist Victor Tricard forms a side project, I am there.

AS//IS is a collaboration between Victor on music and Ahmad Larnes, one half of Schwarz don't crack, on vocals.

For you, their first track is definitely a departure from PSY's manic experimentalism, and is more aligned with SDC's mix of RnB and electronica.

A slow burner, but stick around for those last 60 seconds, they are exquisite.

Jasmine Guffond - Yellow bell

Arresting
Delicate
Vast
Cinematic
Addictive
Over too soon

I am no connoisseur of the electronic music scene, however, this debut makes me feel like I'm in a solemn and stark Spike Jonze adaption of my life, set in Iceland. Everything is beautiful.

Required listening +++++

Zola Jesus - Compass (hunger b-side)

Whenever, wherever new Zola Jesus material lands, like a dream high school boyfriend, you better know I'll be there.

Enter compass, the b-side to hunger, the second single from taiga. And with taiga in mind, compass doesn't go in the direction you'd (well, I'd) expect. It's distinctly softer, less abrupt.

Zola also holds back on the superhuman vocals, and lets us into a side that is more relaxed, less forceful.

Perhaps for that reason, compass is the perfect ying to hunger's yang.

Unknown mortal orchestra - Multi-love

Unknown mortal orchestra inspire definitive undying love in many, myself included. Thus, it is perhaps serendipitous that the title track from their third album, due May 2015, is called multi-love.

While recognisably UMO, Metronomy-esque twangs, vibes and harmonies do creep in in parts, and they are very welcome.

From where I'm sitting, May feels some way off. I hope we'll be treated to more synth-soaked trickles of Multi-love between now and then.

PS - I love the artwork colour scheme.
