Lakker - Tundra

I'm having a gentle, scenic electronica moment, and electronic duo Lakker's latest album tundra has come around just at the right time.

This is Aphex Twin meets Julianna Barwick in varying degrees; just my cup of tea. Bouncy yet poised, contorted but familiar.

Funktionslust - Forever

London electro duo Funktionlust's latest track is the line between truly brilliant beats from the likes of Dave Monolith and Aphex twin, and nice, slightly European electro pop.

The low down: bouncy, earthy beats, with dramatic percussion and building lyrics. Forever is at once light and dramatic, otherworldly and organic.

To borrow from the lyrics:
Get it? Get it? Got it? Got it? Get it? Got it? Good.

Good. Fucking good.

Eyedress - When I'm gone featuring GEoRGiA

Eyedress and GEoRGiA are favourites of mine. Eyedress' supernatural was one of 2014's defining EPs, and GEoRGiA shuck (my) electronic landscape last year.

Rarely is a collaboration just as good as each respective party's solo work, but when I'm gone does it. I love that bouncy, moist electronic sounds are layered with lyrics that repeat "my heart is getting dry".

Amazing video too - although I'm biased - my stuffed tiger's cousin makes a cameo as a hostage. Eyedress' debut album astral travelling man is available now. If you haven't already, subscribe to his insanely active YouTube channel.

Petit biscuit - Sunset lover

In case this infectious track has somehow passed you by, I'm going to leave it right here.

Points of interest:
- Firstly, have you pressed play yet? Do it.
- What kind of a name is petit biscuit?
- Could this French delicacy be this year's Chris Malinchak / Cyril Hahn?
- Wouldn't sunset lover be amazing mixed in with pop it like it's hot?

Y E Λ R S - ファイナルファンタジーX - ビサイド島

I google translated the title of this song, and it came back with "final fantasy x - beside island". I'm not familiar with the game (is it a game?) at all (really), so have no idea if it's actually from the bit that's beside the island(?).

However, given my expert deduction skills, I doubt the producer of the legit music would be sharing it via a small-time soundcloud and bandcamp. I dunno.

IDespite the headscratching, I like this track, it reminds me of a meadow. Easy listening.
